MAJOR HORSEPOWER ON THE HIGH SEAS

High Seas Rally Rides With Cycle Source

When the High Seas Rally sails the Caribbean in October, the world’s only biker rally on a cruise ship will be powered by the unrivaled action and expertise of Cycle Source Magazine.

The action starts before we board the Mariner of the Seas. The Pre-Cruise Party in Port Canaveral will feature Mini-Bike Races with trophies and cash prizes on the line. Once on board, we're throwing a Virtual Bike Show with more killer prizes up for grabs. We'll also host live Grease & Gears Garage tutorials every day at sea with HSR Host and Custom Bike Builder Xavier Muriel and Cycle Source Founder, Owner, and Editor-In-Chief Chris Callen.

Grease & Gears Garage

Cycle Source’s Grease & Gears Garage came to life in Sturgis by bringing together top industry artisans and builders, outfitting a stage as if it were a real-deal shop, fitting them with headsets and letting the crowd watch and interact as the crew gets to work. For over four years, the Grease & Gears crew has taken the action to major rallies across the country, exhibiting interactive motorcycle entertainment and education.

Who can forget watching Paul Yaffe customize a bagger then light the tire on fire right on stage when it was finished? Other industry titans like John Shope, Pat Patterson of Led Sled Customs and Bert Baker of Baker Drivetrain have had cameos on the G&G Garage Stage.

That all sets the stage for the High Seas Rally in October, when you’ll have a front row seat to watch Xavier Muriel and Chris Callen bring that level of information and entertainment to the high seas. In Grease & Gears Garage at Sea, they will cover maintenance, oil changes, winterization, brake adjustment, fabricating handlebars, a sissy bar, and much more. That's right, full-on demos in a full shop at sea.

Mini-Bike Races

It wouldn’t be the ultimate rally without a little racing, would it? We can’t ride on board, but we can fire up Mini-Bikes for races before we board! At the High Seas Rally's Pre-Cruise Party in Port Canaveral, you’re gonna be able to drag race Mini-Bikes!

The Cycle Source crew will be bringing a fleet of Mini-Bikes, along with their professional drag starting tree, for you to put your need for speed to the test! The champs will go home with cool custom trophies, some great loot and bragging rights for a year! There is no entry fee to ride, but the crew does ask that you make a minimum $10 donation, 100% of which goes directly to the High Seas Rally's Dialysis Fund. Head-to-head racing without the need for a full race suit. It makes for great fun and awesome memories.

Virtual Bike Show

Cycle Source Magazine will present the inaugural Virtual Bike Show aboard the High Seas Rally ’21. This first-time event will give rally-goers the opportunity to show off their ride without the hassle of getting their bike on the ship! Here’s how it works, it’s pretty simple:

  1. Book your trip to the rally of a lifetime! CLICK HERE
  2. Take a bunch of pictures (12 or more) of your motorcycle (Please include the following pictures: left and right sides, front and rear, close detail shots of the cool custom features)
  3. Email cyclesourceshows@gmail.com with your Name, Location, Year, Make and Model of your bike and the great photos that you took!
It’s that simple.

Cycle Source will print cool posters to display on the High Seas Rally throughout the adventure and you’ll get to keep the poster after the cruise. Finally, Cycle Source Editor-In-Chief Chris Callen will judge and award trophies to 25 or more classes.

To top it off, we’re going to share your bikes with the world. A People’s Choice Award will be chosen by rally-goers and fans from around the world! The Best In Show will win a full feature in the pages of Cycle Source Magazine along with a bunch of other great prizes!

ANNOUNCING HSR’S NEW CREW
OF CUSTOM BIKE BUILDERS

Hitting the High Seas With More Horsepower and More Motorcycle Eye Candy!

The High Seas Rally is packing more grease, more gears and more motorcycle eye candy into our weeklong rally at sea. To create the ultimate immersive experience for all levels of bikers, riders and gear heads, we’ll be cruising with several awesome custom bike builders who will host talks, show off their work around the ship and spark some exciting new entertainment on the cruise.

From joining Chris Callen’s Grease and Gears Garage demos to hosting their own gear head panels, HSR’s new crew of Custom Bike Builders will be an amazing addition to the World's Only Biker Rally on a Cruise Ship. Meet the builders:

Tom Keefer, Franklin Church Choppers, Inc.

http://www.franklinchurchchoppers.com/

Tom Keefer, owner of Franklin Church Choppers in Pennsylvania, specializes in custom bike builds, service & repair of American V-Twin bikes. From engine work and customizations to vintage restorations and late-model repair work, Tom can do it all and he has numerous award-winning and magazine-featured custom motorcycles to prove it!

For 21 years, Franklin Church Choppers has been a go-to, one-stop shop. Tom says he looks forward to putting you back on the road and keeping you there. We’re looking forward to having him on High Seas Rally ’21.

Jason Hallman, Cycle Stop USA

https://cyclestopusa.com/

For Jason Hallman, the motorcycle industry runs in his blood. Hallman and his late father opened Cycle Stop USA in 2003 in Plymouth, Michigan. In 2010, the entire family of three generations relocated to Florida to take advantage of the amazing weather and year-round motorcycling. Now, Cycle Stop USA has 10 years under its belt in Lakeland, Florida, where they build three to four custom motorcycles, from Baggers to Choppers, on a commission basis each year. The shop also offers a full service department, offering everything from the basics all the way up to engine rebuilds and custom builds.

“I am looking forward to the High Seas Rally this October and I look forward to making 3000 new friends,” Jason said.

Rick Bray, RKB Kustom Speed

Hailing from a racing background, Rick Bray has been building bikes since 2004 and opened his own shop, RKB Kustom Speed in Lemoore, California, in 2010. Bray specializes in custom fabrication and his awesome touch can be seen in High Seas Rally’s very own custom bike. Our award-winning custom bike builder Xavier Muriel collaborated with Rick to design and build the bike's frame from scratch. Each component of the frame was cut, bent, turned, heated, shaped, formed and finished by hand from raw materials.

That may sound like a lot of work, but Bray says any job on a motorcycle is more about passion than work. “I can’t think of much else I’d rather do,” Rick says.

Mark Matthews, Texas Performance Motorcycle

https://www.texasperformancemc.com/

Mark Matthews has been working on bikes since he was 18, and turned his passion into his full time profession in 2010. With over 5 years in a Harley-Davidson dealership as well as multiple years at independent shops in Arizona, Mark has the knowledge, skill and ability to make each customer love their bike, be comfortable on their bike, be confident on their bike, and enjoy riding their bike.

Mark was the technician behind multiple custom builds featured in American Baggers Magazine. His shop, Texas Performance Motorcycles, is a Harley Davidson based motorcycle shop located in Cedar Park, Texas.

Xavier Muriel, Providence CycleWorx

Xavier Muriel, Cycle Source Magazine’s 2019 Readers Poll Builder of the Year and builder of Easyriders Magazine’s 2019 Bike of the Year, is the leader of High Seas Rally’s pack of bike builders. He’s the man behind HSR’s very own custom motorcycle and one lucky guest on the ship in October is going to win it!

The custom work out of Providence Cycle Worx in Austin, Texas, is exceptional and you’ll get a front row seat to witness Xavier’s magic as a bike builder but also as an event host and drummer for the Black Smoke Sinners on the High Seas Rally ’21.

Chris Callen, Cycle Source Media

Chris Callen was born with a passion for motorcycles. Fueled by a desire to live, work and play in the motorcycle industry, Chris launched Cycle Source magazine 23 years ago from the back of his aftermarket parts shop. On a borrowed computer, 24 glorious pages came to life and were freely circulated within a 100-mile radius of his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Every 30 days since March of 1997, Chris has continued to improve Cycle Source -- in page count, paper quality, and content until 2005 when the magazine ceased free distribution and entered the national newsstand.

But his incredible talents and work ethic don’t stop there. Chris is also a badass bike builder and musician. You’ll see both in action aboard High Seas Rally ’21!
