Freedom of The Seas

Experience the 2nd Largest cruise ship in the world, Freedom of the Seas! This Royal Caribbean International masterpiece of naval engineering features the first-ever onboard surf park at sea; cantilevered whirlpools that extend 12 feet beyond the sides of the ship; center ship mall, ice skating rink, large casino, spa, gym, theatre, large rock-climbing wall, with eleven routes and a central spire you can swing around; and so much more! Extensive WiFi capabilities and connectivity for cell phones are also available, as well as flat-screen TVs in every stateroom. We like to think of it as a floating Vegas. You've got to see this ship to believe it.

Sunday- Departure port: Port Canaveral!!

Port Canaveral is like a small Midwest town. Organized, super clean, well landscaped, hardly any traffic (only one highway), everyone speaks English, no-one asking for a tip, very laid back..perfect. There is only one ship docked at our port (OURS). The port has inside parking for cars, pick-ups, and bikes. Outside parking for trucks, R.V.’s, and campers only 200 yards from the terminal is also available. Plus handicap parking is available only 50 yards from the terminal. You’ll be amazed!! Or arrive a day or so early, spend 1 night at our host hotel and park all week for FREE.

Should you arrive early, there is plenty to see and do near by. Kennedy Space Center, Disney and Daytona Beach are just a few examples. Rent  a car from right next door or just lay on Cocoa Beach and start your vacation early. We highly recommend staying at our host hotel (The Radisson) near the port , especially if you drive. This hotel offers FREE parking while you’re on the cruise and FREE shuttle service to and from the port. All rooms are reserved for High Sea Rally passengers only. There are 3 rental car companies within walking distance. We have also blocked several rooms at the Country Inn & Suites, located next to our host hotel and Courtyard Marriott. If ride your bike to the cruise, we have secure indoor parking while your on the cruise. See our TRANSPORTATION page of the website.

See Transportaion/Hotel page for more info.

Both Friday & Saturday prior to the cruise there will be over 1,000 anxious HSR participants gathering at the Radisson to get
reacquainted and make new friends. You might say this is where the party starts! If you are arriving early and want to join them on Friday, October 28th or Saturday, October 29th, you better book your room now! The Radisson traditionally sells out 11 months in advance. We have reserved all the rooms again this year so make sure to tell them you're with HSR! There are more hotel choices listed on our website. Those hotels will also shuttle you to the party at the Radission and to the ship.

Ship departure time is 4:00 p.m. Be on the ship by 2:30 p.m. Passenger loading generally begins at approx. 11:00 a.m. If you want to avoid the lines you should board between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. If you get anxious there will be plenty of motorcycle riders in line to talk with. We will personally greet you before you board the ship. Once aboard, find your room, look around and if you're hungry go to the Windjammer Café to begin a week of all you can eat 24/7. Our introductory giveaway show is later that evening. We give away an average of over $40,000 in cash and prizes per show. You have to be present to win so don’t miss the shows!! Take a minute and check our HSR ship TV channel for activity times. Watch the sunset and blue water as we leave the coast. Be sure to scout the ship later that night.

Monday- Our first day out will be a Day Cruising at Sea

The vendor area will open mid-morning until evening. Lots of biker games, events, tech seminars, fun and socializing will be happening. By now you probably made more new friends than you ever have at a rally and it’s only your second day. Don’t miss the Belly Smacker Contest! Buy your Poker Walk and Biker Bingo cards, cabin raffle tickets and check our HSR TV schedule. Check out the ship - casinos, bars, spas, gym, restaurants, pools, etc.

Tuesday - Labadee

This is Royal Caribbean’s private little island spot. It’s a day of relaxing on the beach, snorkeling, kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, zip line,or just lying in a hammock. We also have the World's largest “I’ll Be Takin' that” T-Shirt swap. RCCL has a cookout on the beach (Food is FREE of course) and there are several bars onshore with plenty of coves and beaches to lay in the warm clear blue water. Water temps are around 85 and air temp is usually about 90 degrees. Don’t get a sunburn, remember, it's only day 2 of the rally! It’s also Pirate Bingo night and cash will be a flowin. Last year we gave away over $30,000 in cash. Then another $20,000 in prizes at our nightly giveaway show the same night. Feelin' Lucky?

Wednesday - Falmouth, Jamaica

New for 2011. Falmouth is replacing our Ocho Rios stop in Jamaica. As of this writing, it is not yet accepting any ships. It appears to be a big change from Ocho Rios. Very tropical of course but very historical, much like Colonial Williamsburg VA.  Much slower pace.We just don't have much to go on at this point until it's completion. Concerns over some passenger safety issues in certain areas of Ocho Rios may have prompted the move. Don't worry, we'll check it out and have plenty of suggestions as soon as it opens. We're sure you'll like it. They will also have excursions back to our old stompin grounds, Ocho Rios and a new spot, Montego Bay.

Thursday - Georgetown, Grand Cayman

Lots to do onshore here. If you’re into water activities, they have it all. From submarines to snorkeling and everything in between. Grand Cayman has some of the clearest water in the Caribbean. Check out our Shore Excursion page for all the island details. Swimming with the stingrays and Eden Rock dive center are highly recommended. You can also rent scooters here! It’s a very friendly simple island to scoot around. Just remember they drive on the wrong side of the road so wear your helmet with the horns and you’ll get respect. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is directly in your path when you go ashore and again that's the big party spot. So if you can handle a back to back Margaritaville experience, it's a straight stagger back to the ship! You can also visit the town of Hell here. Yeah, it’s a real place with t-shirts and a post office to prove it. Send a postcard to your love ones from HELL.

Friday - Cozumel, Mexico

Shopping, water fun and party time! It’s also a very good spot for snorkeling, scuba or just enjoying the beach. Your dollar is worth more in Mexico and if you don’t mind bartering there are deals to be had. Men, grab the women’s credit cards there are jewelry shops everywhere! Or if you men want to make up for something you did earlier, this is the place. The Carlos 'n' Charlie’s party helps you forget that you just maxed out your credit card. It’s a raucous high energy party. There is lots of dancing and playful fun and the staff keeps it goin' non-stop. True Mexican party flavor. There are plenty of taxis to get you back to the ship. Plus, there is a another Jimmy Buffett's on the beach for our private party. The place is beautiful and right over the water. Just jump in and snorkle. Both parties are awesome! It’s also lobster night back on the ship! You'll be sleepin in in the morning.
