Helping friends and family members battling kidney failure has been a hallmark of the High Seas Rally since the very first rally cruise. It’s a cause near and dear to Dean, who along with his mother, sister and brother have battled kidney disease.
The High Seas Rally and its awesome guests have raised more than $2.9 million to pay for the rally cruise for over 210 bikers or friends of bikers who are dialysis patients.
Thanks to Debbie’s Dialysis Fund, up to 14 passengers will sail on each cruise and receive their critical dialysis treatment while at sea — all free of charge. Each receives a free balcony cabin, free airfare, free hotel stay at the port the night before the cruise, all dialysis treatments for the week while on board and $500 in spending money during the cruise. The fund also pays for a caretaker’s airfare, hotel stay and their portion of a balcony cabin. Thanks to High Seas Rally guests, dialysis patients and their caretakers receive a vacation of a lifetime for FREE! We are proud to say Debbie’s dream continues to be fulfilled.
Dean and Debbie contributed over $500,000 to fund the program over the years until the charity could hold its own in 2010. To keep this charity going, all of our passengers are encouraged to enter our rally games on the ship. While supporting a great cause, every guest also has the chance to win more than $200,000 in cash and prizes.
