Rounding the final turn! (Custom Bike Build Update - November 2020)

High Seas Rally's custom bike build is rounding the final turn and that awesome motorcycle you see coming together in the video above will go home with someone aboard the 2021 cruise — if you're onboard, you're automatically entered to win! In the latest dispatch from Xavier Muriel's garage in Austin, Texas, our award-winning bike builder is excited to report that all of the bike's parts have been fabricated and assembled. Some of the newest custom pieces include a state-of-the-art electrical system and lighting package. The bike will soon be heading out for paint, powder coat and chrome. Xavier says he's inspired to build a custom HSR bike that will make your jaw drop — that big reveal will go down on the 2021 cruise. "I've pushed myself farther and harder than on any other build to date," Xavier says. "So many things turned out way cooler than originally conceived in my head.

Sparks are flying! (Custom Bike Build Update - June 2020)

Creating a custom bike is all about building up excitement and energy during the process. We now have a complete roller! (Custom Bike Build Update - March 2020)

Xavier Muriel has checked in from his garage in Texas to provide us an update on HSR's custom bike build. Both rims now have rubber on them and the front end has been selected!

Now you may be asking yourself, "Why does the front end look funny?" Well, Xavier points out that he's working in a mock stage.

As the build continues, Xavier will modify the Lowers by shaving off unwanted pieces to make it look extra cool and custom. Xavier has also started the mock on the rear fender, by spacing and aligning the rear wheel to the center of the frame. Correct spacing is VITAL for the bike to track true running down the road, Xavier says. When the fender is in position, he will begin cutting and welding to start crafting the killer custom look.

The Bars and Risers are now in house. As is the Paul Cox Rigidaire seating system, which allows the driver to use a small manual pump to inflate the seat for the most comfortable ride, while not sacrificing the always classic look of a chopper.

Next up? Installation of the motor, tranny and belt drive, then fabrication of the oil tank before moving toward the front of the build. "I always start at the rear of the bike and work my way forward," Xavier says.

Remember, the custom motorcycle will be going home with a very lucky member of the HSR community after the 2021 cruise.

Frame it! (Custom Bike Build Update - February 2020)

We checked in with Xavier Muriel in his Texas garage and he was ready with an exciting update to the High Seas Rally's custom bike build. Xavier is "honored, stoked, excited, jazzed" to share with you the result of his recent pitstop in California to collaborate with Rick Bray of RKB Kustom Speed on the bike's frame.

Now that the frame has been cut, bent, turned, heated, shaped, formed and finished by hand from raw materials, where does Xavier go from here?

"Imagine that feeling you had as a kid, going to sleep knowing that when you wake up it's time to open Christmas presents … it's that very same feeling," Xavier says. "I've been fortunate to have S&S Motors help me out with one of their 80-inch black and chrome motors, Baker Drivetrain came to the table with an awesome blacked-out 5 speed tranny, and BDL closed the deal with one of their tried and true systems."

Next up: Xavier will set up the drivetrain in the frame and start mocking up the build. The wheels are coming from Black Bike Wheels, matted up with some Metzeler Rubber.

Then the fun REALLY begins. If you sailing on the cruise next October, you are automatically entered to win this incredible custom bike!
